Chevrolet dropped a new “Corvette Insider” video featuring the 2025 Corvette ZR1 late last week and we now have it below. In this video, the insider is Emma Mikalauskas who is a color materials designer for Chevrolet.
Three new exterior colors are now available for 2025 including Competition Yellow and Hysteria Purple Metallic, which were featured on the 2025 ZR1 Coupe and Convertible models built for the launch of the car. Emma believes Competition Yellow is the most beautiful color to see on the street while the gold metallic flake in Hysteria Purple really shines in the sun.

Rick Hendrick has a Competition Yellow ZR1 with ZTK just like this one. Two weeks ago I got to see it up close and personal at the QCCC Corvette Show at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte. It was totally awesome!!!
I think the Corvette team has always made excellent color choices for every model year. I’m excited to see Competition Yellow back on the streets, and the new Hysteria looks awesome!
I like my 2024 Stingray’s Accelerate Yellow Metallic better. But given an opportunity to order a ZR1 in a couple of years, I’ll have to settle. You can only buy what they make…
And perhaps I will keep my Stingray for everyday use. The flat plane engines are gas hogs. Fuel expense doesn’t bother me, but trip range per tank is annoying as you end up looking at the gas gauge all the time. If range gets short enough, might as well have an EV. Well, maybe not… lol.
A hybrid ZR1 I could accept (Zora?). But life is short and I can’t wait long enough for GM to make one, plus get on a waiting list…
