Chevrolet dropped a new Corvette ZR1 video late last week as part of their “Corvette Insider” series. This video features ZR1 Lead Development Engineer Chris Barber who talks about the turbo driving experience with the ZR1 and how it can be either a borderline race car or a daily commuter vehicle.

Barber says, “I think the most memorable thing about the ZR1 is going to be the turbo experience. Turbo engines respond, you know, very differently from naturally aspirated and we wanted the entire car to kind of align with that behavior. And I think we’ve really hit the mark. The ZR1 does not taper off, it’s very, very fast and it just continues to pull and it really sets itself apart from the competition at those high speeds.

From Chevrolet via YouTube:

Unreal performance is hard to put into words. The Corvette ZR1 is a turbo-charged supercar that does not taper off. It’s both a commuter car and a street-legal, borderline race car. Chris Barber, Lead Development Engineer, explains how it sets itself apart with over 1,000 HP at top speeds.
