Chevrolet seems to be working hard to make sure its newest Corvettes are operating properly.
For instance, General Motors has just released a Service Update for certain 2024 Corvette models to address an issue with the Body Control Module (BCM).
Service Update N242456100 says the BCM software in certain cars may be preventing over-the-air (OTA) updates from progressing past the install step. The solution? Certified GM technicians will inspect the affected Corvettes and reprogram the BCM software as needed, a process that should take less than an hour.
Chevy hasn’t said the number of cars affected by the problem.
The Service Update comes on the heels of two other issues on C8 Corvettes, including a Seatbelt Recall for 13,464 cars from 2024 and 2025 to repair faulty seatbelt retractors. The company also addressed an issue with certain 2023 and 2024 cars that may have improperly torqued transmission fasteners, through its Customer Satisfaction Program.
