[STOLEN] Police Nab Car Thieves Who Stole a Corvette and Camaro from a PA Dealership

Two Maryland teens are headed to court after being accused of stealing two expensive Chevy sports cars from a dealership near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Jefferson Ventura, 18, and London Flores, 19, both of Silver Spring, Maryland, have been charged with felony counts of theft, burglary and criminal mischief after allegedly stealing two cars from the showroom floor of Renn Kirby Chevrolet in Straban Township, outside of Gettysburg, just after midnight on April 26, 2024.

The two men, in cahoots with an unidentified third man in a Dodge Challenger, allegedly stole a silver 2024 Chevrolet Corvette, valued at $88,640, and a yellow 2018 ZL1 convertible Chevrolet Camaro, valued at $58,500.

According to authorities, Ventura allegedly shattered a glass door to gain entry into the showroom, but when he and Flores couldn’t open the doors to drive the cars out of the building, they found the keys to a Chevy Equinox parked outside on the lot and used it to ram through the glass doors. That caused more than $50,000 in damages to the building and cars.

Fortunately, the Corvette was equipped with OnStar, which was used at 10:29 a.m. the next day to remotely disable the car’s engine in Silver Spring, Maryland, where police found it hidden under a tarp with a stolen Pennsylvania registration plate taken during a theft at a dealership in Chester County, Pennsylvania on April 24.

Twelve other license plates were also taken at that time from that dealer.

That led to a connection between several police agencies in Maryland and Pennsylvania, who joined forces and used “tower dump” search warrants to gather all cellphones in the proximity at the time of the burglaries. They were able to determine that Flores’ cellphone was in the area of several of the car thefts in the two states and furthermore that he lived within walking distance of where the Corvette was found by police.

A search of Flores’ home then located numerous key fobs, key fob programming equipment, a “large amount” of cash, a firearm, cell phones belonging to Flores and Ventura, as well as a hoodie owned by Ventura that matched surveillance footage from the Gettysburg robbery.

The two men are being held without bond.
