[VIDEO] Brazen Car Thieves Steal a C8 Corvette and Two Other Vehicles from a Detroit Luxury Car Rental Agency

Four thieves were captured by surveillance video running across the parking lot of an exotic car rental shop in Michigan in the middle of the night on July 2, then breaking in through a window and making off with three expensive vehicles.

But not surprisingly, all the vehicles were quickly recovered by authorities, and considering these bumbling crooks, that’s not a surprise.

Video captures them backing up an Arctic White C8 Corvette convertible, but in the process ramming the front fender of the Chevy into the rear fender of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan next to it after cutting the wheel too soon.

They also swiped a black Ram 1500 TRX and a silver Mercedes-Benz, but all three vehicles have since been returned to Dream Luxury Car Rental in Detroit after being found by police in different locations, thanks to tracking devices.

Unfortunately, owner Sam Zahr says he’ll now have to pay about $30,000 to repair all the damage done to the vehicles and his building by the thieves, whose antics forced him to call a bride and give her the bad news about the Rolls-Royce that was going to be used during her wedding the next day.

“Damage, money, I mean, it was a big amount of money because we have to refund customers and we have to switch cars,” he told Click On Detroit. “We’re [also] missing a key for another car.”

The only good news is that the thieves weren’t able to steal a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class though they did make an attempt.

The entire incident took just two minutes, and since the suspects were wearing hoodies and had their faces covered, police are having trouble identifying them.

Zahr says he’s offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the thieves.
