Starting out in the Corvette hobby doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg.
Witness this 2000 C5 coupe that’s been slashed by $3,000 to $16,995 on Craigslist by the Saratoga, New York seller.
Not a bad entry price for a newbie, or even a Corvette veteran for that matter.
For the money, the new owner will be picking up a Corvette with the standard LS1 V8 engine that pumped out 345 horsepower, plenty enough to have some fun with. Then there are also some relatively features about this car, things like the six-speed manual transmission that appeared on only 13,320 units (out of a total production run of 33,682) and the Nassau Blue paint that was the rarest color that year with only 453 coupes built. Its light gray interior also contrasts nicely with that shade and looks to be in good shape.
Furthermore, a previous owner has installed a $2,400 stainless steel Corsa exhaust that should really sound awesome, especially as the manual transmission is shifted.
The seller describes the car as being in “excellent condition needs nothing” and notes that it’s just been serviced and passed a New York state inspection.
Throw in the removable roof panel, and the new owner should be ready for a summer of fun. Will it be you behind the wheel of this unusual 2000 Corvette?

While this a somewhat rare 2000 Nassau blue C5, the seller is not honest about where the car came from and where it has been. The asking price is about $3500 above the actual value, considering the milage and how many owners it has had (6). It is listed that it has a removable targa top but I have not seen any pictures with the top removed.
