It’s not every day that we get to offer our readers a ride in an L88, but that’s what we have in store for you this afternoon. The folks at Competition Cars Myrtle Beach have been busy building an 1969 L88 tribute car and now they have their first video up as they take it for a drive on the streets.
This 1969 Corvette wears a beautiful Black/White throwback livery with Red accents and it features the No. 6 on the sides of the doors. Inside the car is a tan interior and it was set up like many of the original L88s with an automatic transmission.
After a quick walkaround, the L88 is started up and the driver shows that all the accessories from the lights, windshield wipers, and even the radio is working in the car. During the quick drive around the block, our driver tells us how much of a “brute” this car is. He gets to a main road and when he merges, that 500+ hp from the L88 sounds so good that you’ll want to back it up and watch it again.
