Bloomington Gold is Auctioning a 2002 Z06 at Mecum Indy Benefitting the Semper Fi and America's Fund

Dana Mecum’s 37th Original Spring Classic is happening now as festivities got underway on May 10th at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds. The massive auction runs all the way through May 18th. Over the 9-day event, 3,000 cars are expected to cross Mecum’s red carpet.

The diverse Indy docket includes a very special 2002 Corvette Z06 consigned by our good friends at Bloomington Gold. Lot T165 will be crossing the block on Thursday, May 16th with proceeds going to the Semper Fi and America’s Fund.

The Quicksilver 2002 Z06 was donated to Bloomington Gold by one of their longtime supporters. Bidding on this special C5 is a great way to support those who have served our country.

The Semper Fi and America’s Fund supports all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. It was founded by a compassionate group of military spouses to care for our nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families.

The Z06 wears Quicksilver paint over a striking black and red interior. It’s powered by the Z06-only LS6 engine putting out 405hp. A 6-speed manual transmission provides the proper for your street or track adventures. Other options include the Z06 Memory Package, a Bose AM/FM/CD stereo, Dual zone air conditioning, electro chromatic mirrors, and body side moldings. The sticker price was $50,900.

Today the car shows 50,000 miles and features a clean Carfax.

Mecum’s 2024 Indianapolis Auction runs May 10th – 18th at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds. Gates open daily at 8am and vehicles sales begin at 9am or 10am depending on the day. Single day tickets are $30 each and 3-day passes are $75.

Motortend will have live TV coverage from 12pm-6pm eastern Wednesday May 15th through Saturday the 18th including a simulcast on Discovery on the 18th from 12pm-2pm. Re-airs will run at various times through the week as well.

Bloomington Gold’s June 2024 event runs June 21st and 22nd on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Presale tickets are available now. Prices are $30 for a day pass or $55 for a weekend pass. Those costs go up by $5 at the gate.
