~Since Tadge Juechter is retiring July 31st, 2024… I thought I would re-post about the retirement dinner for Zora Arkus Duntov January 13th, 1975. I have copies of Zora’s invitation and it lists the guest speakers etc. Pretty cool insight to a big event 49 years ago!

~January 13th, 1975 was the date of the Retirement dinner for Zora Duntov and the first few pictures are of the actual internal memo and invitation along with the list of guest speakers that evening. This is from my Zora collection as I was fortunate to spend every Summer (1978-1990) with Zora when he and Elfie spent time at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet as he attended the Malcolm Konner Corvette show held every June at the dealership on Rte 17 North in Paramus, NJ.

I have several autographs and many pictures but the memories of spending time watching and listening to him will last me a lifetime. Many thanks to the Konner family for allowing me to be a small part of that time in Corvette history. I always repeat Zora’s quote to me when I asked him about future product every year and in his heavy accent he would reply: Michael, Rumors sell magazines, not cars!“

~The 2024 Indy 500 Pace Car and Festival/Event Vehicles…Eray Corvette set to Pace the Race.

~Corvette paint color options…Do you know which model year offered the most color options? 1981 with 22 different paint choices. Much has been said the last few days since GM announced only 10 color choices for model year 2025 after having 14 available in 2023 and 2024. So let’s take a deep dive going back in time as I researched every production year for the Chevrolet Corvette dating back to 1953.

~Jerry and Elizabeth F. of Louisville, Kentucky made it a family affair on Saturday bringing the whole family to take delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. I’m sure the kids had a blast visiting the McMichael education center while their Father took delivery of a Red Mist Metallic 2024 Corvette Z06 Convertible with Natural dipped interior. Equipment: 3LZ, Stealth interior trim, front lift, Carbon ceramic brakes, Yellow calipers, black exhaust tips, machine faced spider design forged aluminum wheels and much more. Congrats to the whole family and the i’m sure the museum staff rolled out the red carpet.

The photos are now supplied to me by Fotofx, a company that has been working within the Museum for the past 10+ years and now they have pkgs available for a truly special experience to be captured digitally.

~Sherolyn N. of Silver Spring, Maryland has bought many Corvettes from me in the past as she has owned the following years of Corvettes…2006, 2011, 2017 and today she took delivery of her new Arctic White 2024 Corvette Coupe with Red Dipped interior. Sherolyn uses her Corvette as her daily driver, the 2017 she traded today has 93,000 miles on the odometer. 2024 Corvette Convertible Equipment: 3LT, body color dual roof, bright red calipers, performance exhaust, 20 spoke midnight gray aluminum wheels with red stripe, rear Corvette script in Red, low wing spoiler and much more.
