[VIDEO] Chevrolet Japan Drives a Black RHD Corvette Z06 Around Town

We just got another cool promotional video from the Chevrolet Japan YouTube channel. Previously they shared a video of their Arctic White Corvette Stingray driving through the streets at night back in December. Now this new video pivots to the next model, a Black 2023 Z06 Coupe driving on various streets and highways around town.

It was almost a year ago in June 2023 that Chevrolet Japan announced that they were opening up orders for the American supercar, but there was catch. The first batch would only be Black Coupes with Adrenaline Red Interiors. The coupe we see here is Black with Red interior, and it has the visible Carbon Fiber roof and two-tone Competition seats with red stitching throughout. In fact, the car is wearing the same 87-59 license plate as we saw on the right-hand drive promo car last year. Somebody has been driving that car as it has 13327 km on the odometer!

We know many Corvette enthusiasts would rather see the company fulfill those Z06 orders for domestic buyers first, but you really can’t be that upset about the quantities involved so far. During the 2023 model year, Japan imported 575 total new C8 Corvettes but only 8 of them were the mighty Z06.

However, now that production is rolling for both the Z06 and Stingrays, perhaps we’ll see that number grow even further. According to the Corvette product page, Chevrolet Japan will resume taking pre-orders for the 2024 Corvette Z06 through the rest April 30th, and according to their website, you can also order the car in Torch Red or Arctic White.

For those in Japan who would like to experience the new Z06, Chevrolet Japan is hosting the Chevrolet Performance Tour where the Corvette and Camaro can be test driven by prospective customers, while they are offering rides in the Z06. This is happening between March 30 and April 29 with the following authorized Chevrolet dealers (Kasai, Tomei Yokohama, Shinagawa, Osaka Chuo, Kita-Osaka).
