If you’re the owner of a 2024 Corvette Z06, first of all, congratulations! Now, listen up.
Over the weekend, GM Authority has made us aware of a new issue with America’s supercar. Under “certain rare and unique conditions,” the automatic shift to park function on your new car may fail, according to a new Service Update #N232413030 from General Motors.
But don’t worry. Apparently, all it will take to correct the problem is a reprogramming of the Engine Control Module by a GM service technician, with no parts needed.
Chevy hasn’t said how many Z06s are affected by the problem, though with the low production numbers of the naturally aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 flat-plane crank V8 engine, it couldn’t be very many.
The repair will be available until the new vehicle limited warranty period expires for each Z06.

Hate to see your Z rolling down the street.
I just talked to my local dealership about my 2024 Z06 because some of the info was confusing to me. He said that you should only bring your car in if you are experiencing any abnormalities, which would only happen while driving it. But, from what he said, it’s not like it is going to shift itself into park while you are just driving along…at least I hope not! 🤞
Why would anyone even need an option like that???
