[ACCIDENT] Dallas Cowboys DE Sam William’s C8 Corvette is Destroyed in Crash

Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Sam Williams is used to collisions on the football field.

Not so much on the roadway, however.

Unfortunately, that was the case Thursday afternoon, however, as Williams’ black C8 Corvette was demolished after a collision with a black Infiniti being driven by a 71-year-old.

Williams and the other driver were carried to a hospital as a precaution, and a few hours later, the second-round draft pick tweeted out some good news about their condition: “I’m okay everyone so is the other person that was involved,” with prayer and heart emojis added.

Police say Williams was driving his Corvette southbound on Preston Road in Plano, Texas around 2:15 p.m. when he collided with a black Infiniti going northbound and attempting to turn onto Towne Square Drive, near SH 121.

The crash knocked the driver’s side front tire off of the Corvette, which also lost its front and rear fenders, along with other damage. Video from the scene shows the C8 being hauled off on a rollback, while the less-damaged Infiniti is being pulled behind it.

Police continue to investigate the accident, including whether speed played a role, but they do not believe alcohol or drugs were to blame.

After a standout career at Ole Miss, Williams was the 56th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. The 23-year-old has 13 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble so far this season as a member of the Cowboys’ defensive line rotation.

The team has not ruled out Williams’ return for Saturday’s key NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium.
