[VIDEO] Dennis Collins Finds a Running 1964 Corvette Coupe in Tennessee

For his latest find, Dennis Collins heads to the hills of Waynesboro, Tennessee where he is presented with a matching numbers Silver Blue over Dark Blue 1964 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe. Unlike most of his rescues, he is actually able to start up the C2 Coupe and hear it run.

The seller of the car has several barns on his property and surprises Dennis by showing off a 1970 LS6 drive train complete with an M22 Rock Crusher transmission which he says came out of a Chevelle. Dennis asks if the seller is willing to part with the motor and transmission. The older gentleman pauses before saying, “I want a car to put it in.” Dennis says he’ll see if he can find a 1970. “That’s a neat drivetrain,” says Dennis. “I don’t need it, but one day I will need it.”

Also in the barn is a 1600-mile Black C6 Corvette Grand Sport and a diesel-powered Silverado longbed with 128K miles. “You have some cool stuff, sir” says Dennis before they head back outside and begin loading the car onto the trailer.

  1. Dennis should have asked the man if he’d be willing to sell his wicked black 1600 mile C6 Grand Sport. It looks awesome!
