Chevrolet to Offer Two New Limited Edition Corvette Stingrays for Japan

It sure does seem like the decision to offer the C8 Corvette as a right-hand-drive model is paying off nicely. One of the markets doing well with C8 sales is Japan which last year saw 567 new Stingrays imported into the country. To keep that sales momentum going with the 2024s, Chevrolet Japan has announced two limited edition models that will be sold exclusively on the island nation.

These new limited editions are called “Edition CERV 1” and the “Heritage Edition” and both reach back into Corvette’s storied past for inspiration.

Edition CERV 1

The original CERV 1 was the bullet-shaped Chevrolet Experimental Research Vehicle created by Zora Arkus Duntov back in 1959 as a testbed for new technologies. Recreated now on the C8 platform, Japan’s Edition CERV 1 is limited to just 20 cars and it will be offered as both a 2LT Coupe (15 Units) or Convertible (5 units). The Manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the Coupe is ¥ 15,100,000 while the Convertibles will start at ¥ 18,900,000.

The Edition CERV 1 will feature a Silver Flare exterior with the Edge Blue racing stripes and Edge Yellow Brake Calipers. Inside is Black interior with GT2 seats while Convertibles will have the Competition Seats.

Heritage Edition

The Heritage Edition will also be limited to just 20 cars total, and they also break down as 15 3LT Coupes and 5 Convertibles. The specifics for the Heritage Edition is the new Seawolf Gray Tri-Coat with the dipped Adrenaline Red interior which Chevrolet Japan suggests is a tribute to the very first Corvette which had the dipped Sportsman Red interior.

Other features include the 20-spoke Gloss Black Q9I wheels with Edge Yellow Brake Calipers. The interior offers competition sport seats with black accents and Torch Red seatbelts. The MSRP for the Heritage Edition is ¥17,400,000 for the Coupe and ¥18,900,000 for the Convertible.
