Chevrolet Will Be Offering Two New Special Edition Corvettes for Japan

Chevrolet is celebrating its racing heritage with a limited run of special edition Corvettes available only in Japan.

A total of 70 of these right-hand drive Stingrays will be available in two special editions, and it’ll take a lot of Japanese yen to pay for them.

Corvette Limited Racing Style Edition


One model will be known as the Limited Racing Style Edition, available in Hypersonic Gray with full-length dual Carbon Flash Metallic racing stripes, two-tone Twilight Blue / Tension Blue interior, Tension Blue seat belts, Edge Red calipers, Carbon Flash mirrors and rear spoiler, and Gloss Black 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels. Or in Arctic White with full-length dual Edge Red stripes, two-tone Adrenaline Red and Jet Black interior, Torch Red seat belts, Edge Red calipers, Carbon Flash mirrors and rear spoiler, and Midnight Gray 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels with red stripe.

The second model will be called the Limited Sport Style Edition, in either Accelerate Yellow with Carbon Flash mirrors and rear spoiler, Carbon Flash nacelles and roof on the HTC, Edge Yellow calipers, Jet Black interior with yellow seat belts, and Gloss Black 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels, or in Black, with Jet Black interior, black mirrors and rear spoiler, Midnight Gray 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels with red stripe, Edge Red calipers, and black seat belts.

Corvette Limited Racing Style Edition


Production breakdown will be as follows. For the Limited Racing Style Edition – 10 3LT Coupes and five Convertibles in Hypersonic Gray and 15 2LT Coupes and five Convertibles in Arctic White. For the Limited Sport Style Edition – 20 2LT Coupes in Black and 10 2LT Coupes and five Convertibles in Accelerate Yellow.

The Limited Racing Style Edition will cost 16.9 million yen ($105,000) for the 3LT coupe, 14.9 million yen ($105,030), or 18.4 million yen ($129,600) for the hardtop convertible.

The Limited Sport Style Edition, meanwhile, will be 14.7 million yen ($103,585) for the 2LT coupe or 18.2 million yen ($128,250) for the Accelerate Yellow convertible.

The cars are available for ordering, according to Chevy.

  1. Why??? Why is GM wasting these cars on these clowns?? Can’t keep up here at home so they make it worse by sending some off to a friggen country that does not even deserve to have them. WTF!!?? I bet these rich Asian A-holes won’t even be able to see over the steering wheel let alone reach the pedals.
