Some new owners love to customize their Corvettes, and we’re generally all for it. That is until we aren’t as this Bedazzled C8 Corvette Stingray shows that some just take customizing too far.
In the quest to be unique, this owner just killed their resale value, and frankly, you’re making the rest of us sane Corvette owners look bad. So, knock it off or we’ll have to send the Corvette Police to your door.
This customization is so bad that we are reminded of the infamous Dragon Vette from the early days of this blog. That C6 owner also had an addiction for “Autozoning” the crap out of his car, and after several versions, he simply grabbed some paint and a roller and went to town. “There, I fixed it,” is probably the feeling he had once the custom paint had dried.
Back to the Bedazzled C8 Corvette, pics of the customized Corvette first showed up on the appropriately named “/Shitty_Car_Mods” on Reddit with the subtitle, “An expensive car just got ruined.” Take a closer look as you’ll see why.
The Corvette Z51 Coupe was modified with the extensive use of reflective tape (duct tape?) on its front and sides of the car. We can only imagine what the rear looks like. In addition to the bedazzled tape, this car was also customized with a set of logos from our nation’s military that run down the middle of the bedazzled hood stripe. Also included are several crosses, hearts, colored “jewels” and other knickknacks affixed directly to the Rapid Blue Paint.

As the owner of a C1 and C8, I am speechless.
Put these cars in the wrong hands, and this is what happens.
