If you are still looking for that perfect Corvette to tuck in your garage before the end of the year, our friends at Corvette Mike in Anaheim, CA always have a well-rounded inventory of Corvettes from C1 to C8 to choose from. While checking out their online inventory, we’ve recently been lusting over several rare Corvettes in the collection that include everything from a 1964 Corvette fuelie tanker to a 2023 70th Anniversary Z06 still in its transport wrapper.

We always make sure to mention that Corvette Mike likes to purchase their Corvettes for resale directly from Corvette owners, and they are always on the lookout for pristine Corvettes with low miles from any generation. If you’re selling such a Corvette, it never hurts to Contact Corvette Mike and let them know what you’ve got, or what you may be looking for when it comes to adding another Corvette to your garage!

Corvette Mike also turns to third party websites when it comes to “sending some cars off to auction,” which these days means the cars stay at the store while also making an appearance on the Bring a Trailer website. They recently pointed us to this pretty little red Corvette being offered by the longtime Corvette seller on the auction website. The sale of the car runs through Saturday, December 16 at 2:40pm and bidding has reached $15,250 at the time this article was published.

The Little Red Corvette we are speaking of is actually a 1971 Corvette Convertible powered by the 350ci LT-1 V8 engine and coupled with a four-speed manual transmission. This was the second year of the three-year run for the LT-1 small block, and it was rated at 330 horsepower and 360 lb.ft. of torque. The car features a 160-mph speedometer with the tachometer showing a 6,500-rpm redline. The mileage of the Corvette reads 63,313 but it’s unknown whether that is the true mileage for the car.

Options on this Red Stingray include 15-inch rally wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial tires, a black convertible top, and a luggage rack mounted to the rear of the car. It also has power steering, disc brakes, AM/FM radio and a heater. The ’71 Convertible was being stored in a storage facility by the previous owner when purchased by Corvette Mike, and they have since had it in their service center to give the mechanicals a once-over which included an engine tune-up and brake service before putting the car up for sale.

The 1971 Corvette Stingray was originally ordered in War Bonnet Yellow before a previous owner had the car resprayed with Mille Miglia Red and they also added a white pinstripe to the fender arches front and back. Inside, the interior shows off a Saddle Leather interior (code 420) with woodgrain accents on the deluxe door panels. The interior isn’t perfect with some discoloration happening with the leather seats and door panels, but overall, it presents itself well with no noticeable tears or cracks in the seats and dash pad. The black convertible top will most likely need to be replaced as the rear window is coming apart, and there are reportedly some scuffs on the red paint that are noted in the photographs.

This is a great looking Corvette, and the video above shows the car being started up and driven around without issues. However, it’s not a perfect Corvette and that’s one of the reasons why we like it. For the buyer looking for a fun car that they can jump in and drive around town with, this could be the Corvette Stingray you’ve been looking for. We also like the fact that the new owner could most likely fix the car’s imperfections without breaking the bank and still come out ahead when selling it. Check out the auction in progress at Bring a Trailer and stick around to see where it ends up as the sale closes on Saturday afternoon at 2:40 PM ET.
