This 1959 Corvette restomod is part of Lance Miller’s collection and apparently, it’s the favorite of his daughter (and Chip Miller’s Granddaughter) Ella. The Restomod is painted in Orange Metallic and features a contrasting cove color also in a shade of Orange. The Roadster retains its classic body and the chrome bumpers, trim, and custom chrome wheels really pop under the sun.

The Corvette was built on a SRIII tube frame that is both incredibly strong and is hundreds of pounds lighter than a stock Corvette frame. Under the hood is 5.7 liter all aluminum LS1 that makes 400 horsepower and is painted Orange Metallic to match the rest of the car. We see a manual shifter in the interior, but do not know how many gears you will be rowing as you take this Restomod for a drive.

Inside the car is a beautifully-appointed interior with tan leather seats and dash while the instrument cluster is painted in matching Orange Metallic. The steering wheel is trimmed in leather and has a flat bottom for easy entering, and we really like the classic silver seat buckles with the GM-release buttons.


Chip Miller and his good friend Bill Miller first hosted a Corvette show in Carlisle, PA over 40 years and today Corvettes at Carlisle is the largest all-Corvette show in the world. Sadly, we lost Chip Miller in March 2004 due to Amyloidosis, a little-known disease that is caused when amyloid proteins deposit and accumulate in the body’s organs and tissue. Each year 3,000 cases of Amyloidosis are diagnosed in the United States, and it’s treatable with early detection. Had Chip and his doctors been aware of the symptoms of the disease when they first presented, this legend might still be with us today.

The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation’s mission is to empower people with the knowledge and understanding of Amyloidosis for earlier detection, ensuring a better quality of life for those afflicted with the disease and to help science find the cures.
