[VIDEO] Black 1LZ 2024 Corvette Z06 Coupe Sells for $159,500 at Mecum Kansas City

Last week we previewed a Black 2024 Corvette Z06 Coupe that was being offered for sale at Mecum’s Kansas City auction and the good news is that its appearance resulted in a sale!

What we found interesting about this Z06 Coupe is that its original owner basically purchased a base model with just a few smaller appearance options selected for the car. With a 1LZ trim package and $5,055 in options, the MSRP for the car was $116,850. And remember that $2,600 of that $5,055 in options is the gas guzzler tax.

Also interesting is that this is a 2024 car that was completed at the end of October, and it has just 5 miles showing on the odometer. That means the original warranty is no longer transferrable to the new owner.

The Black Z06 hit the Mecum auction block on Saturday and it wasn’t around long with the new buyer snapping up the car with a hammer price of $145,000. With the buyer’s commission included, the out-the-door price was $159,500.

That’s what we call “Well Sold!” You can check out the Z06 on the auction block here:

  1. This is a sharp looking car but that was just totally stupid to pay that much for it plus there’s no warranty. We’ve already seen how some of these brand new Z06’s have had issues and I’m sure there’s nothing cheap about having them repaired.

  2. I still don’t care for the flat plane engine sound,it’s why I went with a Z51….Love the sound as I’m an old school gear head and the foreign machines and F1 sounds don’t thrill me.

  3. Fool with too much currency. Amazing considering these are in stock at MSRP with a warranty at some dealers.

  4. Why do people pay such a ridiculous amount of commission to these fools?? This has to be the worst and dumbest way to buy a car, my god people are friggen stupid. Way to many stupid people in this country. I would never buy a car from Mecum or Barrett-Jackson bold face ripp off, both of them.
