It’s no secret that Corvette enthusiasts love helping kids, and that definitely includes legendary race car driver Jeff Gordon.
The Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation is again sponsoring the annual Corvette For a Cure giveaway, and this year’s prize is a real beauty – a 2023 Corvette Stingray Convertible 70th Anniversary Edition with a sticker price of $110,930.
Every day in the United States, more than 40 kids are diagnosed with cancer, the No. 1 juvenile cause of death by disease, but the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation offers these families hope by investing in childhood cancer research.
This year’s car will likely be an even better long-term prize since the 70th Anniversary Editions are proving to be especially strong on the resale market.
With the standard 495-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 and 8-speed dual clutch transmission, this car features the one-year-only White Pearl Metallic exterior paint with carbon fiber accents and ground effects, along with the Jet Black and Ceramic White, Red-Accented interior with carbon fiber accents.
Other features include 20-spoke Midnight Gray wheels with red stripe and carbon flash metallic power retractable hardtop with carbon flash nacelles.
Equipped with the top-of-the-line 3LT package, this Stingray also includes the highly desirable Z51 Performance Package, not to mention Magnetic Selective Ride Control, front lift, performance exhaust, and electronic limited slip differential.
“Technology and engineering have evolved the Corvette into a modern marvel,” Gordon says. “Each time it seems the Corvette can’t get any better, it does. A lot has changed about the Corvette in 70 years, and a lot has changed about the fight against childhood cancer, too. Therapeutic discoveries and treatment advancements that make the fight stronger, faster, and smarter have been made possible by individuals dedicated to helping kids fight cancer. Imagine what your help could make happen over the next 70 years.”
Visit corvetteforacure.org to purchase your tickets because, as Gordon points out, “your donations fund innovations that improve quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship, and medical research dedicated to finding a cure for kids fighting cancer in your community and communities all over the world. We can’t do it without you.”
