[VIDEO] 2024 Corvette E-Ray Smokes a Ferrari in a 0-60 MPH Sprint


Here’s a video that came out last month that we are only seeing today, and I have so many questions!

The basic set-up here is that a 2024 Corvette E-Ray is lined up next to what I believe to be a Ferrari F8 and the description of the video says this matchup was held at the Las Vegas International Speedway. The race is a 0-60 MPH sprint and we see as the cars go by that there is a timing table set up at the finish line with the timers oriented to the crowd.

As we watch the video, a “grid girl” helps get the cars lined up, and then it’s go-time with the two sports cars racing past the camera. As the Sea Wolf Gray E-Ray goes by, we can see his time shows 2.488 seconds while we never do see the time for the slower Ferrari.

We’re assuming that this might have been a media test car, and someone brought it to this event as Chevy doesn’t usually organize races against a competitor’s vehicles. We love to know more about the race and how it came together, as well as the distance covered in that 0-60 MPH sprint as there does appear to be a finish line for the race cars.

  3. Nice for the E-Ray. But I think 0 to 60 mph is no longer a useful test. The new question is 0 to 124 mph (200 km/hr). Still, get wins where you can.

  4. This demonstration was conducted during the Chevrolet National Dealer Conference held in LV in Oct. I attended the event and witnessed the 0-60 demonstration. Professional drivers were utilized; they also provided hot laps around LV Motor Speedway infield “road course”.

  5. I was there and it was ran multiple times with the E Ray beating the Ferrari multiple times. If you would like to see my video reach out.

  6. Who cares cares 0-60 is an atiquated performance stat.
    Race it from 60MPH to 130MPH against a proper 8 year old 2015 Ferrari 488GTB or an 5 year old 2018 488 Pista and even though the Ferrari is 5 to 8 years older it will destroy the soyboy E-Ray corvette.

  7. But put it against a 296 or SF90 those cars have electric motors as well, not a fair line up

  8. I hate people who comment on a Corvette page, and complain or find excuses for the competition the Corvette best???

  9. The Ferrari’s time does get shown at the 0.16 mark of the video, just before the camera pans away following the E-Ray — it was 2.693 seconds.
