[VIDEO] Barn Find Rescue in Scotland Reveals Classic C1 Corvette, Jaguars

Just getting to the old brick building where tons of vintage cars and assorted parts were stored was a challenge, blocked by a massive tree across the road.

Once there, though, it was definitely worth the effort.

The folks at Anglia Car Auctions take you on a visual tour of their latest abandoned barn find in Scotland on a new YouTube video.

The roof of the old building is falling in, supported only by posts that will have to be removed to get all the loot out, which just happens to include a Roman Red 1959 or 1960 Corvette.

Fortunately, the old C1 is at the very front of the building, so it doesn’t have to be moved very far. Still, it takes a lot of effort to get the job done, including a cable to pull it out of the structure and then a forklift to place it on a trailer since the whopsided flat tires won’t roll.

The car isn’t a pretty sight these days, with parts like one of the chrome headlight bezels, the front grille, and the front bumpers scavenged over the years. But still, it’s one of only about 10,000 Corvettes produced each of those years, so it’s definitely worth the work to try and restore it since the body looks to be in decent enough shape and even still has its matching hardtop.

Behind the Corvette are other significant finds like a 1955 Jaguar XK140, 1947 Jaguar 1.5 Saloon, and a 1952 Bentley Mark IV.

On the other side of the split building, meanwhile, are lots and lots of auto and motorcycle parts, including hoods, grilles, wheels, and other “parts galore.”
