[VIDEO] C8 Corvette Z06 Takes the Win at the Cleetus McFarland's Spectator Drags


Our friend Matt from the RearWheelDrive YouTube channel had his 2023 Corvette Z06 back out at Cleetus McFarland’s Freedom Factory for another Spectator Drags competition and the winner of the event will take home $1500! Matt’s done pretty well at these events with his previous C8 Stingray taking the win and his Z06 doing well in another before falling to a Tesla Plaid. Most recently he had his partially-wrapped C8 Z06 over in New Smyrna Beach, FL where he battled Mustangs and others.

This race looks particularly hard as Cleetus is also racing in the event, bringing out his modded Porsche 911 Turbo S. Yeah, we’ve seen that car before as well and it’s wicked fast on both the oval and on the drag strip.

But first, Matt has to clear to the deck of competitors which includes a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a surprisingly fast Corolla GR. Matt did have a mishap while on the course as one of his paddle shifts came off in his hands while racing. Matt said to the camera, “Guess I have to go in automatic mode for now on.”
