[VIDEO] Stingray Beached! C8 Corvette Driver Gets Stuck in the Sand

That moment when you go from hero to zero is a fine line, but the signs can be all around you if you are willing to open your eyes. Like the big sign that says drive on the beach at your own risk.

We wonder if there was a fleeting glimpse of recognition of that moment for this C8 Corvette driver who got his Stingray stuck in the sand on California’s Pismo Beach.

As you can see, the driver side tire was at one point already underwater, but the driver seems to be determined to keep spinning the wheels and digging the Corvette’s grave a little deeper. And what are these beach bros thinking that they can defy physics by pushing a car that is stuck in sand up to its brake rotors. None of this makes any sense as the saying goes.

The Drive explains that Pismo Beach near Los Angeles can be driven on, and you’ll often see a lot of trucks, motorcycles and quads which explains why some of the helpers are wearing helmets.

The Drive learned from the comments that the Stingray was extracted “before things got terminal,” but we are guessing there will be some lingering ramifications from this off-road excursion.

  1. You can drive on the beach, just don’t try to do a burnout. No spinning the wheels Goofball.

  2. What a horses ass, why is it so many stupid morons get cars they don’t deserve and mistreat. I hate seeing this shit, pisses me off someone treats their car like this.

  3. I try not to riled up when I see dumb things happening. I believe that (in this case) the owner of the Vette can do what he wants, it’s his car. Yes it was dumb, yes he should have thought it out, but “hey”, it’s on him. I don’t think he’ll live it down. It’s gonna coats him!!!!

  4. I’ve been to Pismo Beach. Everything gets stuck there. You have to know how to drive on it. Many folks drive their truck/camper combos onto the beach and make a day of dune surfing, but they too get stuck occasionally, it ain’t Daytona beach where the sand is like concrete!

  5. Jetdriver is 100% correct.
My C8 stays home when we go to Pismo.
That Vette was in a position you probably could not even hitch up a tow rope to pull it out. My daily driver 4×4 Trailhawk jeep goes.
Sand is so hard on the equipment; our MX race bikes dont even go there.
The Rangers won’t let anyone on the beach at high tide without 4-wheel drive.
I even see 4×4’s getting stuck. Last time I was there a Ford 4×4 towing a 30-foot toy hauler was buried to the axels.
Some people should never get off the short bus.
Heck, I dont even drive my C8 in the rain, the tires are useless in rain.
