Somebody is going to take home a magnificent 1958 Corvette restomod convertible being offered at no reserve at the first-ever Barrett-Jackson New Orleans Auction from Sept. 28-30.

This tastefully done Corvette has it all. “Meticulously crafted, this automotive marvel boasts a plethora of carefully selected components, resulting in a breathtaking fusion of classic design and modern performance” is the way Barrett-Jackson puts it in the listing.

And they’re not kidding.

Let’s start with the 4L60E automatic transmission and a brand-new GM LS3 crate engine with Corvette-style valve covers, Ultimate headers, Borla stacked injection system, and Holley Terminator engine management system.

Add in an Art Morrison chassis, with independent C7 front and rear suspensions with adjustable ride height and RideTech coilovers. Mix in a polished electric braking system with Wilwood brakes, 6-piston front calipers, 14-inch rotors, and stainless-steel brake lines.

But this car offers more than just mechanical performance. How about the stunning red leather interior with double stitching and concave custom seats, along with a hand-stitched custom billet steering wheel, a Vintage Air climate control system, and a new stereo with a 9-inch screen, Bluetooth, amplifier, and six speakers.

Underneath, the frame has been coated in a contrasting gray color, with the all-original body finished in PPG Black water-based paint and Global High Solids clear.
