[VIDEO] Reeves Callaway In His Own Words on the Supercharged C8 Callaway Stingray

The Corvette Nation is still shocked over the recent news of Reeves Callaway passing away, and it came just after the performance stats of the new supercharged Callaway Corvette Stingray were released. Callaway has been testing the system on the Stingray since 2022, and they are using a roots-type Eaton TVS2300 Supercharger on top of the 6.2L LT2 V8 engine.

If you missed those performance figures, the Callaway C8 Stingray will have 687 hp and 643 lb-ft of torque, and it’s estimated to go 0-60 mph in 2.67 seconds and run the quarter mile in 10.64 seconds at 129 mph.

As I was looking for certain video about the supercharged Corvette Stingray from Callaway, I came across this YouTube video from Reeves that was uploaded two months ago and has only been viewed some 660 times. So chances are you haven’t seen it either. In the video, Reeves steps out the Elkhart Lake Blue Stingray and offers his first driving impressions with the supercharged Stingray.

Reeves states that he’s just driven the new supercharged prototype and “there’s nobody who isn’t going to be happy with a car like that…this is so exciting.” He says the the C8 Corvette Stingray platform is an excellent “base” to start with, and the sound from it will amaze you as well.

He sums it up by saying, “I haven’t driven anything this exciting in a long time, so I just thought you’d like to see the reaction of a guy who’s seen a lot of this come and go over the years, because if you can’t tell, I’m really excited about this!

Callaway is taking deposits for the Callaway Corvette Stingray package and you can secure your reservation for $1000. Callaway will also be offering the supercharger package as a modification for any 2020-present C8 Stingray. You can check out CallawayCars.com for details.
