“You don’t see that everyday,” says the Facebook post for Bradenton, Florida’s police department.
Detectives from the Bradenton PD were in the right place at the right time when they saw a C4 Corvette on fire as it was driving down the street early Wednesday evening.
The Corvette was driving down Barcarotta Avenue near 1st Avenue in Bradenton when flames were observed coming from the engine bay.
Detectives chased down the Corvette’s driver and called in the vehicle fire to 911 who dispatched the Bradenton Fire Department. The officers attempted to douse the flames with portable fire extinguishers but were unsuccessful. When the fire department arrived, they were able to quickly put out the vehicle fire.
No injuries from the vehicle fire were reported.
