Corvettes for Sale: No Reserve 1969 Corvette with a 427 and 4-Speed Transmission

When you get through manhandling this 1969 Corvette coupe with an L36 427/390 horsepower engine, Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission, and no power steering/brakes, you’ve definitely earned your stripes.

But what a feeling to know that you had the honor of being behind the steering wheel of one of the most powerful C3 Corvettes ever built!

This Riverside Gold Stingray – one of 38,762 coupes and convertibles built that year – is being offered at no reserve on eBay, and 43 bids have already been placed on the way to the current high of $29,070 – with activity ending at 12:24 p.m. Friday.

The paint and the chrome bumpers are said to have been recoated back in 1985, but photos with the listing reveal that both are still in shiny enough condition that the new owner will face the dilemma of redoing them or being satisfied to leave well enough alone.

Meanwhile, the black interior may not have power windows, but overall it’s in nice enough condition that it’s not screaming for any major work. Replacement carpet has already been fitted, along with Corvette-branded floor mats.

Mechanically, the seller doesn’t really offer an analysis of the running condition of that big brute of a motor, but one thing is for sure – it’ll create lots of heat when you’re sitting in traffic!
