Seems like we got all this week’s good news on one day! Following reports that Chevy will run the 2023 Corvette model year through September 1st, we learned that things have also been poppin’ at the Corvette Assembly Plant this week for America’s newest supercar as well.

In the daily production report offered up by Roger Kiel on Facebook, we see that a total of 63 Corvette Z06s were produced on Wednesday, and 194 total Corvettes were produced altogether. That means that 1 out of 3 Corvettes produced yesterday was a Z06!

The breakdown for yesterday’s Z06 production was 52 regular models and 11 70th Anniversary Editions. For the year, 1,329 regular Z06s have been produced as have 216 70th Anniverary models for a total of 1,545 Z06s.

The plant will be closed this Friday and Monday for the Easter holiday.

Here is the spreadsheet from Roger Kiel that tracks daily Z06 Production:

Again, it begs the question of if we are finally ramping up Z06 to these levels, why only allow Dealer Stock Orders on any further allocations for the model year. I am sure Chevy has a plan for dealing with these dealer stock allocations, just wish we knew what it was…
