[VIDEO] Jordan Taylor Prepares for first NASCAR Cup Race

There’s not many times I have set an alarm for a NASCAR race, but this Sunday is one of those races and it should be a lot of fun to watch. Normally, you would find Chase Elliot driving the No. 9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, but a snowboarding accident several weeks ago left him with a broken leg, so Corvette Racing’s Jordan Taylor was asked to fill in when the series visits the road course at COTA.

This Sunday will be Jordan’s first NASCAR race and it happens at Circuit of the Americas where he’s won two out of four IMSA races. We can imagine all the things that he’s been doing to prepare. However, setting up a new voice mail message wasn’t something we were expecting. You can see it here:

As a nod to Jeff Gordon, check out Rodney’s Jordan’s new helmet featuring Gordon’s rainbow design:

We are wishing best of luck to Jordan this weekend and we’ll be tuning in to watch. Sunday’s race at COTA starts at 3:30 PM and will be broadcast on FOX.

  1. After about 30 seconds of that video, I was ready to puke, but at least I understood the real reason for the rainbow design on his helmet.

  2. Should be interesting to see one of best road race drivers in a car owned by one of the best owners backed by a great crew. I know that there are of few of those door bangers with road racing experience but Jordan does it every day.
