“Save the Date,” says the graphic from MacMulkin Chevrolet. The newly crowned “World’s Largest Corvette Dealer” is looking to open their 2024 E-Ray deposit list one week from today on Wednesday, February 8th.

We know that MacMulkin has a contact list of people who have expressed interest in the car, and that list has been active for over a year now. This morning, the MacMulkin account on Corvette Forum says that “everyone on that list, will receive more detailed information for deposits, shortly,” and then members on the list received the above graphic.

So to us, it looks like MacMulkin will prioritize being there in person on February 1st to put your deposit down. Being a local customer of a top dealership should have some priority because dealerships primarily serve their local markets first. We are also glad they are doing away with wire transfers as that is what really messed up the Ciocca Z06 reservations in our mind.

We’re not sure how this process is going to go down, and after seeing the chaos that occurred at Ciocca Corvette, I’m not very optimistic at all about how long-time enthusiasts and previous customers of MacMulkin will be served in this process. At the same time, we know that demand is going to outpace supply for the red-hot E-Ray, so what’s a dealership to do?

Good luck to Tommy Jr and his staff at MacMulkin. We are hoping this goes off without a hitch…If you are planning on standing in line at the New Hampshire dealership, the 10-day weather forecast shows Rain/Snow with a high of 38-degress for February 1st, so dress accordingly.

  1. Remember the days you didn’t have to go through this BS? I went to my local Pontiac dealer negotiated off list price, gave them a $100 deposit and had my 455 M4 Trans Am in 6 weeks. Not too long ago, I went to my Lexus and picked out my color and drove it home, at a discount. Bought my new 2019 C7 Grand Sport at a discount and had several colors with the M7 to choice from.

  2. I got in line at MacMukin in late 2020 for the Zora. I’ve been resting easy since then because of their reputation and knowing my place in line was secure. I call every six months to verify where I’m at on the list. If they throw that out on D day and pull these kind of ridiculous shenanigans I’m gonna be the kind of angry that involves an attorney.
