Want to see just how crazy people are over the new 2023 Corvette Z06? Check out this video from DADBODSZN610 on YouTube who drove down to Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City early Tuesday morning to place his deposit in person on America’s new supercar.

As the world’s largest Corvette dealer, many were hanging their hopes of getting on Ciocca’s Z06 list which officially opened on Tuesday at 12 noon ET. While most buyers went through the online process, he was hoping to score an early position by going to the dealership in person. What he didn’t expect to see was the huge line of fellow Corvette buyers who started lining up on the sidewalk beginning Monday afternoon.

The YouTuber gives us several updates in the early morning as those waiting circulated a sign-up sheet so that everyone would know where their place in line was. DADBODSZN610 said he was number 62 while the girl with him was number 61. At 9:00 am ET the dealership opened to the crowd who moved to the front doors.

He also describes some of the trading that was happening in the line as they waiting. He says that one man went from number 102 to number 10 for $5,000!! The crowd also gets restless as “Mr. McLaren” attempts to jump into line. “Watch the back doors,” someone says.

At 12 noon, the doors opened and it’s organized chaos as those in line enter the dealership and add their names to Ciocca’s list. Actually, the process goes a lot smoother than first feared. DADBODSZN610 and his girl each put down $2,000 cash for their deposit to make it official.

  1. If I didn’t know better, I would say this was NJ…how many of these cats will flip their purchase for profit whenever the delivery date may be?

  4. They will be waiting forever till they get a Z06! Just look at how many people are still waiting on the C8 they ordered more than a year ago. Not too mentioned how much more they will pay this time around. And don’t forget that this will be the first year for the new Z06, that means reliability and quality issues may arise.

  5. C8 reliability ??? i’m glad i got a 1st yr C8 and i’m waiting on the reliability issues to show up. I have 18k+ miles on it… The biggest problem i’ve had is tires , i seem to run over nails or screws or a damn bone and 2 back tires hit me for $1k…. but a fyi- i bought a set of 21 take offs (wheels included)w/ less than a 100 miles on ebay for less than a set of tires … i’ll be ready next time… Oh yea , the quality issues are &%(*$*& ??? ,,, i can’t find them….. So , i’m on several z06 lists and will buy 1st yr if i can get one 🙂 …. and ,, I may sell it , if I want to. If that bothers you , So What ! i don’t care …… heehee ‘savor life’

  6. Bill Ganas, valve spring issues, oil pump issues, now potential transmission issues as well. And that’s just for the standard C8! Just wait till the Z06 comes out with even more power and stresses out other major components of the C8. You have been lucky so far because quite a few C8’s have had problems already.

  7. Yes, I said this the other night on here. The engineers have said there will be NO heat soak issues on the new Z06…well, I would HOPE not! And, first year of a GM flat plane crank engine in a first year C8 Z06 that revs to 8600 RPMs? What could go wrong?

  8. The rich and famous aren’t waiting in lines and will probably get their Z06 years before these people will. The sales manager at my dealer said only the connected will get his first year’s allocation

  9. Kerbeck now Ciocca’s is so far on another level then even larger volume Corvette dealers. Likely the 250th person on their Z06 list will get there car before the #2 guy at most dealerships. The have maximized there allocation for decades. When I lived on New Jersey in 2006 I wanted a new C6 Z06 both Hawthorne Chevrolet, and Paramus Chevrolet (the old Malcolm Konner Chevrolet) where 10K over sticker neither would budge and I don’t them because the each got 2 or 3 Z06 allocations. Kerbeck had every color on the lot. I wired them the money and took a car service down to pick up the car. When the C6s ZR1 came out they had dozens of allocations when most dealer never got a single car.
