[STOLEN] Tennessee Owner Asking for Help to Recover Her Stolen C7 Corvette

The owner of a C7 Corvette is asking the public to help her get her stolen Stingray convertible back.

The Arctic White Corvette – with black wheels, black top, and Adrenaline Red interior – was snatched up by a brazen thief outside the Cordova, Tennessee Costco on Saturday near Memphis.

Despite the fact that she has insurance to cover the loss, the owner – who doesn’t want to be identified – wants HER car back.

“I have insurance. I get that. There is a reason I pay for insurance, but I don’t want my car to be a total loss,” she told a WREG News Channel 3 reporter. “I have 22,000 miles on my car.”

To help with that recovery mission, she’s taken to social media and the Nextdoor neighborhood app, asking members to be on the lookout for her Corvette.

You won’t believe how the car was stolen. The owner was just putting air in a tire, with the car apparently still running, when the opportunistic thief jumped in and drove away.

“They were watching me. So, as soon as I turned my back, he jumped in my car,” she said. “I had just taken the steering wheel club off of my car. So, I was like blown away. As safe as I try to be in this city, it just happened to me.”

The owner hopes social media will help solve the crime, as she admits Memphis police officers appear to be overworked, overwhelmed, and outnumbered.

“The more eyes, the more we are looking out for each other, the better right now,” she said.

The car has apparently already been sighted three times so far. Anyone who sees the Corvette or has information for the police is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.

  1. That is exactly what I was going to tell her. They can disable it and locate it though the gps. The cops should know that.
