[VIDEO] Three C7 Corvettes Take Down Three Mustangs at the Drag Strip


Whether base Stingray or Z06 or ZR1, these C7 Corvettes have the same results against a collection of Ford Mustang GTs in a new video on the Wheels YouTube channel.

In the first run, a white S550 Mustang GT takes a quick but very short-lived lead on the two-tone white and black Stingray, which pulls away and winds up taking an almost two-second win – 12.33 seconds at 113.67 mph vs. 14.22 seconds at 98.90 mph.

A white Z06 is next up against a blacked-out S197 Mustang. After another quick jump by the Ford, the Chevy comes back for a much closer win – 11.01 to 11.51 (speeds not posted).

Finally, we see a black ZR1 against a silver S197 Mustang GT. As you might expect, the 755-horsepower ZR1 rolls to an easy win, though its time is actually slower than the previous Z06 – maybe because of the wide margin of victory. The ZR1 finishes with an 11.53 at 133.29 mph, whipping the Ford’s 14.48 at 100.98 mph.
