[VIDEO] C8 Corvette Dyno Test Goes Off the Rails...Or Does It?

“Is it real or is it Memorex?” That was an advertising slogan we heard growing up in the ’80s and that hook line immediately jumped into our mind after watching this video of a C8 Corvette ‘supposedly’ crashing during a dyno test.

The unbranded video we caught on YouTube was first shared back in November but is now starting to make the rounds of social media and sites like TikTok. It shows a Torch Red C8 Corvette on a dyno and as it winds up, the car suddenly appears to break loose and crashes into a wall. Sparks are flying and the camera gets all shakey as it happens as well, but missing are any people in the video.

The comments are filled with people congratulating on the “nice special effects” and knowing that the crash was just computer animation (and no C8 Corvette was actually harmed), we think the effects were well done!
