[VIDEO] Support the NCM's Corvette Collection Preservation Fund

It’s not easy – nor inexpensive – to maintain the incredible collection of more than 150 cars at the National Corvette Museum.

Enthusiasts around the world can do their part to help fund the long-term preservation and maintenance of the museum’s collection by making a donation to the Corvette Collection Preservation Fund, which kicked off its year-end giving campaign today with a new YouTube video.

Proper care of a Corvette requires considerable time and resources, with the annual preservation costs for a single car in the NCM’s collection adding up to more than $2,800 per year.

That adds up rather quickly to roughly half a million dollars each year, and with the collection continuing to grow by the day, the maintenance expenses represent a “tremendous financial obligation” for the museum, the NCM says.

“Today we are asking for your support to safeguard these vehicles,” says Sharon Brawner, President and CEO of the NCM. “Would you consider making a gift to our year-end preservation fund to help us protect and maintain our collection for future generations? Your generosity, every single penny, truly makes a difference.”

Donations in any amount are welcome and can be made online or by mail. Donors of $1,000 or more will receive special recognition in the museum’s annual report and VIP invitations to select exhibit openings and other special events held throughout the year.

For more information about the campaign, visit corvettemuseum.org/collection-preservation/ or call Donor Relations Coordinator Bobbie Jo Lee at 270-467-8833.

“It is the generosity of supporters like you that allow us to continue to do what good museums do – protect our collection for future generations to enjoy,” the museum says. “Thank you for all the visits and support, and for being a part of the only Museum dedicated to America’s Sports Car – the Corvette.”
