Nearly 50 Corvettes Up for Grabs at the GAA Classic Cars Auction Held November 3-5

Don’t look now, but the crew over at GAA Auctions are holding their November sale this week on Thursday the 3rd through Saturday the 5th. All the action takes place at the GAA Classic Cars facility at 301 Norwalk Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. Doors open daily at 8:00 am and vehicles sales follow at 10:00 am.

The 49-car docket covers all eight generations of Corvette production and features everything from over-the-top restomods to finely restored cars to nice drivers. No matter what you’re after, you’ll probably find it in Greensboro.

Third generation Corvettes make up over 40% of the current offerings, with 21 awaiting your bid. Next up, we spy nine C4s and seven C2s. There are six first generation straight axle Corvettes and three C8 Stingrays to bookend the Corvette docket. One Corvette each from the 5th, 6th, and 7th generation seek new homes as well.

Here’s a look at a few of our favorites crossing the GAA auction block in Greensboro:

1958 White / Blue Convertible

1958 White / Blue Convertible

1958 was a bit of a transitional year for Corvette. It received its first significant restyle in the form of quad front headlights, louvered hood trim, and chrome trunk irons. It’s also the first year for seat belts as standard equipment. A total of 9,168 cars were built in 1958, with Snowcrest White being the most popular color that year.

Lot ST0070 in Greensboro has been frame off restored and presents in handsome Snowcrest White with blue interior, silver coves, and a white soft top. It’s powered by the 230hp version of the venerable 283ci V8 engine. A 4-speed manual transmission routes power out back to the rear wheels, which are wrapped in wide white wall tires. Other options include a heater, courtesy light, and Wonder Bar radio.

1961 Orange / Tan Restomod

As the restomod market continues to gain popularity, we get to see many stunning interpretations of America’s sports car. This bold 1961 Restomod has traveled the show circuit around the country and been featured in Super Chevy Magazine. Most notably, the Corvette was a first place winner at the prestigious Grand National Roadster Show in 2019. The car is built on an Art Morrison chassis with independent front suspension and a triangulated four-bar rear suspension. The underside bling continues with a Currie 9″ rear end, Strange Engineering Coilovers, and Wilwood disc brakes at all 4 corners.

Under the hood, we find a 505hp LS7 wearing stainless headers attached to a Magnaflow exhaust. A Tremec T56 6-Speed manual sits behind the engine while a custom radiator rests up front.

The bold look of this C1 starts with the House of Kolor Citric-Hue Tangelo paint, which is complemented by the Camel Tan leather interior. Inside, you’ll find a custom grab bar and seats, Billet Specialties Outlaw Steering Wheel, and more.

The whole package rides on 18″ Foose Legend Wheels that are wrapped in Nitto 235/40R18 front and 285/40ZR18 rear tires.

1963 White / Blue Split Window Coupe

1963 Corvette Coupe

The 2nd generation Corvette rocked the automotive world when it made its debut. With its radical styling, independent rear suspension, and diversity of options, it was nothing like the world had seen before. The most notable feature was the now-iconic two-piece split rear window. While not overly popular back then, today collectors will stumble over one another like a Black Friday sale to get their hands on one.

1963 Corvette Coupe

Chevrolet made 21,513 Corvettes in 1963, and this one has been with its current owner for 50 years. It’s finished in Ermine White with a complementary dark blue interior. Power comes from a 327 ci engine that is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. It’s nicely equipped with power steering, knock-offs, redline tires, and an AM/FM radio. The listing also states that seat belts and aftermarket Vintage Air conditioning have been added over the years. The sale also includes old maintenance receipts as well.
