The embargo for the Corvette Z06 ride and drives ends sometime on October 3rd, yet here is a video from automotive writer Dan Carney live on YouTube showing a hot lap in the Z06 on the track as captured by the Corvette’s Performance Data Recorder.
It’s an interesting video as it’s not an all-out 10/10ths kind of drive, but we see 8,000+ RPM and full green bars on the accelerator while he’s at wide open throttle and the speeds easily surpass 140 mph at an early point on the track. We are told that a series of cones added to one of the main straights help keep speeds manageable, and the only other observation is the traction control icon was constantly illuminating as well.

Traction control seem to come on as much the C7 Z06 (at least mine). Maybe a cold track.
