Great news coming this week as we have learned the 2023 Corvette Z06 is being tested by a number of journalists, youtubers, and others, as we get ready for the “driving impressions” embargo to be lifted on October 3rd. A number of auto journalists will be checking out the car at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex this week, while the magazines received a press car to test at their own chosen tracks.

That’s what brings us here today as Road and Track is doing its annual testing for the Performance Car of the Year (PCOTY) award and the Z06 is one of the participants. If you are on Instagram, you can see this “Instagram Story” posted by the magazine. If not, we got some screen grabs below thanks to “Jock Itch” on the Corvette Forum:

  1. Just a kind reminder…. This is the same “car guys” that stated…. “That’s why the Hyundai Veloster N is Road & Track’s 2020 Performance Car of the Year.” R&T’s bizarre PCOTY selection was after testing the Chevrolet C8, Porsche 911, John Cooper Works Mini Cooper, Lamborghini Huracán Evo, Nissan GT-R, Toyota Supra, BMW M2 and others… Their justification in selecting the front wheel drive Hyundai remains as convoluted as Secretary Pete Buttigieg circular-speak explaining to Americans why we should all be buying EVs. Good luck with that… That said, I’m looking forward to finally reading Z06 track times that I can only hope includes a collective group of spicy sports cars and yes, that they throw in a Hyundai and EV for giggles. 😂

  2. If the soy poisoned commie EV loving rasied-by-their-mothers sissies at R&T like it, suddenly not being able to buy one doesn’t hurt my feelings that much.

  3. “These Canards are to wide” Huh?? Zip it R&T, pretty sure GM engineers are better at this then you clowns. And yes by all rights, it should win it all. Who has anything even close to compete with it???? Maybe use the POS Hyundai to go get everyone lunch.

  4. Who knows? All i know is that it looks terrific; sounds terrific; will run with anything on that track and by all rights should be the PCOTY hands down; i’m prejudiced; i have a C8 and love it

  5. You’re right Curtis Corey. It’s getting downright repulsive. It’s worth the wait. It’s worth the wait. It’s worth the wait. It’s worth the wait. It’s worth the wait………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  6. To bad it will never be a production car. Blah, blah, blah, enough already. Just make some. This has been like no one ever asking the best looking girl in school out because your a chicken sht. GM take off your skirt and get down to business of making vehicles and leave the Hollywood antics to the professionals.

  7. By the time this car for sell!
Intrest rate up to the moon!
