In case you weren’t able to buy a new Corvette ZR1 back in 2011, here’s your chance for redemption.
This 2011 ZR1 – coated in Velocity Yellow with an Ebony leather interior – has been driven just 37 miles since being delivered new to Marc Heitz Chevrolet of Norman, Oklahoma. This is one of only 806 ZR1s built in 2011, and furthermore, only 49 were painted Velocity Yellow.
Now, it’s being auctioned on PCARMARKET by its seller located in Spring, Texas, with the action coming to a close in six days.
The highlight of the C6 ZR1, of course, was its 638-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 aluminum block engine with the intercooler displayed prominently through a clear polycarbonate window – numbers that made it at the time the most powerful production Corvette ever. The engine, which produced 604 lb-ft of torque – features a dry-sump lubrication system, rotocast high-flow cylinder heads, polymer-coated forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, a dropped-forged micro-alloy steel crankshaft, and a 2.3L Roots-style 4-lobe supercharger.
Another highlight of the widebody ZR1 was the extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber, including the roof, hood, fenders, front splitter, and rocker moldings, along with a six-speed manual transmission, Magnetic Ride Control, and cross-drilled blue Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers behind 19″/20″ ZR1 chrome aluminum wheels. The original Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2010 are still on the car, so if you plan on doing any driving, it would be wise to replace them.
The interior includes heated, ventilated, six-way power-adjustable sport seats, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, head-up display, automatic dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, push-button starter, and cruise control, along with a Bose Premium 7-speaker sound system, power telescoping steering wheel, and navigation.

Corvettes were built to be driven, not to be squirreled away. Sad to think that this ZR1 might never get to meaningfully experience the open road.

C6 Corvette ZR1s did not have Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. They came with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were introduced later.
