You don’t have to spend a pocketful of cash to enjoy a Corvette.
For example, just look at this 1990 model currently on sale for $11,995 on Craigslist out of the West Haven, Connecticut area.
Furthermore, the new owner most likely won’t have to worry about seeing another one like it at a car show since it’s one of only 474 Corvettes built that year in Quasar Blue Metallic, the second lowest total besides the 278 done in Competition Yellow.
The car has lots of features, not the least of which are the air conditioning that still blows cold and the new tires and shocks that have been installed all the way around.
It’s also equipped with a transparent roof panel and power windows / locks / and seats.
1990, by the way, marked the first year of a newly designed “hybrid” instrument panel with a digital speedometer but analog tachometer and secondary gauges. In our eyes, it still looks pretty good 32 years later.
Based on the photos included with the listing, the car lives up to the seller’s description of being “extremely clean inside and out,” even underneath where he says there is “zero rust.”
Likewise, with its L98 V8 engine that produced 245 horsepower and 330 ft-lb of torque, this Corvette – which has 98,000 miles on the odometer – is said to run and drive “100% excellent.”
The seller will get the original books and manuals, along with stacks of service records for this car, originally from Florida.
