Chevrolet thankfully added a third wheel design for the C8 Corvette Stingrays for the 2023 model year, and now buyers can choose between one of the new 20-spoke designs or go with the previously available base five open-spoke wheels or one of the Trident designs. The 20-spoke wheels come in four finishes, with one of the choices being an LPO dealer-installed version offered in Tech Bronze.

We caught these Tech Bronze wheels on a Stingray during Corvettes at Carlisle as they were installed on one of the Corvette team member’s CFT cars. In fact, the Hypersonic Gray C8 Corvette Stingray was a rolling billboard for Corvette accessories as the Stingray also featured the Stingray-R package hood graphic and center wheel caps, visible carbon fiber mirror caps, and the visible carbon fiber boomerang and high wing spoiler.

Chevy previously offered a Pewter-finished accessory wheel as one of the five open-spoke wheel designs, but they were canceled for the 2022 model year. These new LPO accessory wheels use the same option code of 5DG, and they sell for $3100 per set through Chevrolet accessories. When you order these wheels with your Stingray, just know that you’ll end up with two sets of wheels as these are considered accessory wheels.

  1. The bronze is the worst. Pale ugly color and way too expensive. Get the stock wheel and buy an aftermarket set with a nicer design and a much richer bronze, copper or gold color…for less.
