Here’s a bit of a surprise for today as Emelia Hartford got the first 2023 Corvette Z06 press car and gives it a go. She says that a comprehensive review is coming; however, her “driving impressions” are embargoed for the time being. I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking she is going to have a great time with it!
Emelia’s ride for this video isn’t any Z06 tester. It’s actually a 70th Anniversary Edition Convertible in Carbon Flash Metallic, and it has the big wing carbon fiber aero package and carbon ceramic brakes. After the car comes off the transporter, she does a start-up and then takes off. I’m not sure how she is going to disguise her “driving impressions” either after watching her do a quick sprint up to 80 mph and seeing that smile on her face. She starts to say something about this being the first drive in the Z06 and then clams up, saying, “I promised I wouldn’t say it.”
Her first stop is to show off the car to the guys at Hoonigan, and she picks up a passenger for some rips around town. After that, she heads to the shop where Phoenix (her 2020 Stingray) is waiting for some side-by-side comparison shots with the two cars.

It’s not her car (for the people that didn’t read the article or watch the video), it’s a press car for the day. If they’re going to give any you-tuber a press car give it to Doug, at least he’ll give it a real review. I love the C8 Z06, but not so much with Emelia with it.
