[VIDEO] Fast Lane Jane and Her Pro-Touring 1964 Corvette Visits Autotopia LA

Fast Lane Jane certainly lives up to her name as she takes Sean of AutotopiaLA for a ride in her LS3-powered Pro-Touring bright red 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe.

Between spinning donuts in a parking lot and roaring down city streets as those beautiful sidepipes make sweet music to our ears, this is one of the most fun videos we’ve seen in a long time.

Believe it or not, Jane confesses that she didn’t start out as a racer and has only been doing “serious” driving like autocross and road courses for eight or nine years. Oh, and by the way, she also teaches performance driving. It doesn’t hurt any that her husband Greg is a gearhead, too, and has a slick Corvette himself.

As for Jane’s ride, it started with an LS3 block grown to 416 cubic inches and makes “a lot” of power, as she puts it when Sean asks. She eventually admits that it’s 596 horsepower to the flywheel and generates 610 lb-ft of torque, with a T56 transmission and 3.73 gears.

Additionally, the car features a C4 suspension front and rear, with RideTech shocks and a GFS Customs cantilever transverse mount suspension developed by her husband. Throw in 6-piston brakes with 14-inch rotors behind one-piece 18-inch Forgeline wheels with 315 tires all the way around, and you’ve got the makings of one mean vintage machine.

As for the interior, Jane went for the “all-business” look, with Corbeau seats and AutoMeter gauges, but now she plans to at least add door panels because at 6-foot-1, she has to have someplace to put her knee and elbow when she’s driving “and it hurts!” when she presses against the bare door frame.

The car does have air conditioning, but on the way over to the video shoot, she admits she didn’t run it “because I didn’t want to compromise performance.”

AutotopiaLA’s Sean comes away a believer in Fast Jane Lane and her custom C2 Corvette after talking to her and then getting to be a passenger. “Fast Jane Lane is a cool lady – she can drive a car,” he says.
