[SPIED] More Tomfoolery as a C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible Has a Bike Parked On Top

I always wanted to use tomfoolery in a headline and in this case, I think it works very well. The pic comes from @69_vettelife on Instagram.

It’s a Corvette Z06 Convertible with a mountain bike mounted to the roof. Chevrolet does sell a vacuum-mounted bicycle carrier for the Corvette from SeaSucker, however, I see that’s not yet listed under the approved 2023 Corvette accessories. I had to go back to the 2022 model year to grab that link. Perhaps this is a validation run for the bike carrier for the 2023 Corvette model year.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a C8Z with a bike mounted to the roof. That was a Coupe that was spied back in May with a lady’s bike on top.

A guy on Facebook inquired about the MSRP of the Bike which we think is valid while another says it’s just a mass-produced Chevy, what’s the big deal? Another says he’d have to remember to not accidentally put the top down. Yep, that would wreck your day.

More miles on these CTF Corvettes translates directly into more smiles for the Corvette enthusiast who buys one, so we’re glad to see them out there driving…even when they are engaging in tomfoolery!

  1. Now folks, Gramps can barely get in and out of his Corvette, let alone retrieve or mount a bicycle.

All Gramps wants to do is go to Cracker Barrel!

  2. I’d love to know what’s so wrong with that car that they still can’t take orders for it or price it this late in the game. What’s really scary is that if that LT6 becomes a problem child, what happens to the other variants based on it?

  3. Well, he appears to be in the left turn lane with his right turn signal on. All while staring down the barrel of the largest Chevy pickup known to man. (?!)

  4. FFS, I couldn’t imagine seeing anyone who waited many years on a list and paid that kind of money (whatever that is, because we still don’t know) using their Z06 for this purpose. But hey, let’s test it.

  5. If you are given a really exceptionally cool car that you get to use as a daily driver as you wish yet you will never own it, this is what you get. He likes bikes and wants to haul it around with this company provided car. No worries about damage…someone else will be fixing it…IF it is not doomed to a wreaking yard that is.

You know…maybe this would be a good accessory for every electric car…never know if that computer will miscalculate your miles left and you need to get home. Maybe an electric bike…lol.

  6. My Chevy dealer sells Thules for the new Z06 but can’t get the trailer hitch on because of the exhaust

  7. Probably the photo was snapped right at the moment that tail light was off during its motion cycle.
