The guys at RDB LA are apparently having a little fun with what they call a “1947” Corvette that apparently has some shady history behind it.
Of course, we all know the production of the Corvette didn’t even start until 1953, so this is really a 1959 Corvette. Just don’t tell anyone, or you might have to be “exterminated.”
The first thing you’ll notice about this black beauty is the gold plating everywhere, but that will be the least of your worries after taking it for a spin. In the video, the host complains of a “broken” left leg because “the clutch is very, very stiff and had like a short little engagement point.”
Other than his sore leg, though, he says the vintage Corvette convertible “surprisingly drives pretty damn good” but it does bounce all over the place.
The owner still enjoys driving it, we’re told, but he’d entertain a possible sale if the price is right. The new owner will then be told the “pretty crazy” gangsta history behind this Corvette.
Apparently, it may be one of those cases where if they tell you, they’ll have to kill you.
In the meantime, does anyone out there know anything about this car’s past?

Blah. Looks terrible in gold. I don’t care what the story is.
Interesting . . . in a tacky, “Look at me!” kinda way.
In a “take it or leave it” choice ~ I’d leave it.
