[VIDEO] Teachers at a Green Bay School Get a Corvette Surprise for Teacher's Appreciation Day

Corvettes played a starring role in a special celebration for teachers at a Wisconsin school this week.

To celebrate National Teachers Appreciation Day on May 3, Saint John Paul II Classical School enlisted the help of the Green Bay Corvette Club.

Around 11:15 a.m., teachers heard an announcement from the office that they needed to be blindfolded and then safely escorted outside, where they were then helped inside a group of Corvettes from the club.

Once inside, they removed their blindfolds and found themselves inside the Corvettes, and they were then chauffeured to Hinterland Brewery for an extended lunch. While the teachers were enjoying their surprise trip, parent volunteers and other administrators stayed behind to watch the students.

“Sometimes it’s hard to fully tell how much you appreciate what someone does, especially as we conclude a really long year,” said Headmaster of Chesteron Academy Patrick McKeown. “It’s May, we’re ready for summer break, and we want to show them that we care, we love them, we appreciate all the work they do, inside and outside of school every day.”

No doubt, this will be one Teacher Appreciation Day that will remain in the minds of these educators for a long time.

“The great success we see at this school is based on our teachers so we really wanted to show them the care and the love that we had for them,” said the Headmaster of Saint John Paul II Classical School.
