After spending more than 30 years with the same husband-wife team, this 1965 Corvette convertible is now looking for a new home.
It’s been more than 20 years since the couple undertook a complete frame-up restoration, and based on the photos accompanying this eBay listing, the car remains in nice condition.
In fact, the eBay listing says this Sting Ray “looks good for the age” and should be considered as a “weekend casual show car, excellent cruise event, and driver level overall.”
The sellers don’t know how many miles have been put on the car since the restoration but estimate it to be “maybe a couple of thousand miles per year.” The wife explains that her husband owned several other collectible cars so this Corvette saw “minimal use,” mostly at shows and cruise events.
Regardless, the car retains its numbers-matching drivetrain, with a 327/300 horsepower V8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission.
Originally finished in Glen Green, the car’s exterior was changed to Milano Maroon with a factory hardtop and white soft top. The Saddle interior still looks nice in the photos.
Classic Auto Showplace out of Troy, Michigan is handling the sale and notes that the car was last driven in 2021 “during our short driving season,” with no mechanical issues noted at that time though a pre-purchase inspection is welcomed.
This seems to be a car that would benefit from more regular usage, and we’re hoping a new owner will be inclined to do so.
With six days left in the auction, the reserve has not been met yet, with the highest offer so far being just $25,100. We’re sure that price will have to climb considerably for the car to swap owners.

look at interior color and junk rims.
What’s wrong with the rims? I think they look very nice. Also just because you don’t care for the interior color doesn’t mean its bad.
