Corvettes for Sale: 1 of 24 Black 2009 Corvette GT1 Championship Coupes with 2800 Miles

To commemorate the success of Corvette Racing, Chevrolet produced 125 GT1 Championship Special Edition cars for the 2009 model year, available in either yellow or black.

Now one of the 24 black coupes produced – showing just 2,802 miles – is available for sale for $44,000 on our sister website, VetteFinders.com.

The seller says it has basically been a show car, stored in a heated garage, and has never been in the rain or snow. Furthermore, it’s been well-maintained over the years, he says, with differential, coolant, brake, and clutch fluids replaced in 2016-17 and a new battery installed in 2017.

This car is pretty well loaded out, including the standard LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine that puts out 436 horsepower with the NPP dual mode exhaust. It comes with the 4LT premium equipment package that included features like AM/FM/6-disc CD changer, head-up display, power telescoping steering wheel, heated seats with six-way power adjustment, custom leather-wrapped interior, forged chrome aluminum wheels (plus black ZR1 wheels).

The Z51 performance package includes large cross-drilled brake rotors, performance-tuned tires, stabilizer bars, springs, shocks, and gear ratio, dual-mode exhaust (NPP), 6-speed manual transmission, and ZR1 body-color spoiler.

To distinguish it from regular Corvettes, the body has graphics inspired by the C6.R livery, with Corvette Racing mascot Jake, AMLS Championship, and driver flags. Other special touches are ebony custom leather trim, exclusive yellow stitching on seats and interior, GT1 embroidery on seats, dash, and center console, black headlamps, and carbon pattern engine cover.

This car – which had a base MSRP of $65,410 – is one of 53 regular coupes produced (24 black and 29 yellow). Only 125 Special Editions were made in all, including 17 regular convertibles (10 yellow and 7 black) and 55 Z06 coupes (38 yellow and 17 black).

Included with the sale are two remotes, original forged chrome aluminum wheels and black ZR1 wheels (pictured on car), “Jack” logoed passenger floor and compartment mats and wheel inserts, car cover, four service manuals, Novi stretch nose bra, lower door kick guard covers, C6 trunk rear bib cover, cargo net and rear luggage shade, as well as the owner’s manual and literature, build sheet and window sticker.
