Meet the Producers and See a Preview of the Betty Skelton Documentary ‘Boundless’

Last December our friends Bill and Betty Tower celebrated the 50th Anniversary of owning Betty Skelton’s 1956 Corvette NASCAR racer that was raced on the beaches of Daytona during the 1956 Speed Week. During the presentation, we learned from Pam Miller of FOX that the television network was developing a new FOX docu-series about Betty Skelton that tells the story behind the story of Betty’s amazing life as a stunt pilot, Corvette racer, and how she earned the nickname of being “The First Lady of Firsts.”

On Tuesday at 7:30 PM ET, you can learn more about the “Left Behind” series featuring the executive producers Lindsey Mandia, Pam Miller, and Cindy Sisson. Lindsey, Pam, and Cindy will join host Amanda Busick live from the FOX Sports studio in Charlotte as they share the story behind the docu-series and why it’s the perfect time to tell the stories of these amazing women.

There will also be a sneak peek of the first documentary “Betty Skelton Boundless – The First Lady of Firsts” – a daredevil whose record-breaking aerobatics landed her famous plane “The Little Stinker” in the Smithsonian, set land speed records including a 300+ mph mark at Bonneville, and numerous Corvette speed records among many feats. She was so beloved by GM – they created a gold Corvette just for her to pace the field at the 1957 Daytona speed races.

A special preview of “Boundless” will also soon air on FS1 on March 23rd and April 9th. 3/23 and 4/9.

About the FOX/FS1 Docu-series “LEFT BEHIND”

From its inception, the automobile has been a catalyst for change. This Documentary series will showcase these courageous and outlandish females who were called celebrities in their time, the classic cars they piloted, their record-breaking quests and how their accomplishments have impacted the car world – right to the 21st century.
